The Accountancy and Business Law minor provides non-CSB majors a foundation of financial and legal knowledge that can be applied in their chosen field of study. The minor core curriculum (16 hours) provides a strong foundation for maintaining financial records, utilizing financial information for managerial decision making, and understanding the legal environment of business.
The minor elective course (3 hours) allows students to explore either (1) the income tax implications of personal and business decisions, or (2) the commercial legal environment, including topics such as contracts, sales and warranties, and debtor and creditor rights.
This minor provides students with an overview of business skills and knowledge and is open to non-business majors only. Students can enhance any career path with the skills gained and bring value to a company or organization.
There are more than 700K cybersecurity workforce shortages in the US. Our Cybersecurity minor is open to any UNCW student and can be added to enhance their degree in any programs of study.
The Economics minor is offered to non-business students. This minor provides students the opportunity to complement any degree with a background in economics.
The Small Business and Social Entrepreneurship Minor prepares non-business students to engage in entrepreneurial activities related to their major. The minor is particularly suited to students who are interested in developing or supporting an entrepreneurial venture related to their major. The minor is flexible and versatile enough to benefit any type of entrepreneurial interest ranging from the arts to the sciences and beyond.
