The University of North Carolina at Wilmington (“UNCW” or “University”) recognizes the importance of protecting personal information and keeping such information private and secure. To support University operations involving the processing, storage, and transmission of data, UNCW strives to maintain awareness of applicable information privacy laws, regulations, and policies.

The Information Privacy Program at UNCW is a collaborative effort and is supported by multiple offices, including, but not limited to, Information Technology Services, the Office of the General Counsel, and Research & Innovation as well as programs such as Data Governance, IT Governance, and the Coordinated Compliance Program.
