Cable TV services are provided for common areas of residence halls, which were designated by Housing and Residence Life, as well as in academic and administrative areas. Cable TV is not available in individual residence hall rooms.
Canvas is UNCW's Learning Management System (LMS). It is an online education technology used for campus courses to help drive student & faculty success.
A clicker is a device that integrates into a PowerPoint presentation and allows users to participate by submitting responses to questions and viewing immediate feedback. They help class engagement, assess learning and gather data. You can purchase clickers in the UNCW Bookstore or online.

A listserv is a single email address that distributes the message to the email addresses of all its members. Mail sent to a listserv will have an address similar to test@lists.uncw.edu.
Listservs can be used in cases where groups contain members outside of UNCW. List membership is managed by one or more administrators.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), provides an extra layer of protection to your account by verifying your identity through a second method or factor when granting access to university resources.
The VPN (Virtual Private Network) allows for authenticated, encrypted connections to UNCW campus computing resources. You can access and use the Web servers and any other UNCW computing services from off-campus locations as if you were on campus. We recommend that any files you wish to access from off-campus through the VPN be moved to OneDrive, rather than connecting to a local desktop in your office.
