If you are considering being an extension campus student, here is what you need to know.
Extension students, also known as distance education students, are UNCW students in one of our distance education programs. Prospective students may apply directly to our extension campus as a transfer student.
Additionally, students can switch between main campus and extension status, but only once during their time at UNCW. For more information, please contact us at watsonadvising@uncw.edu.
Students begin with the SSC as a pre-major. To become a full major, extension students must be admitted to WCE by completing these requirements with a small adjustment for students who are partnered at an out-of-area school. These extension students must meet at least a 3.0 GPA for admissions.
