In partnership with Housing and Residence Life, Hawk's Harvest, and Centro Hispano, Closet Clean Out is a yearly opportunity for resident students moving out of the halls to donate their unwanted food, clothing, household goods, and much more instead of throwing it away.
We place storage containers near the residence halls to collect material that are open daily for the two week period between last day of classes and the final move out date. These containers are open daily, so students can load in their donations. Staff and volunteers then unload, sort, separate, and fold items and prepare them for various local non-profits. In previous years, we've donated to Campus Catholic Ministry, Habitat for Humanity, Manos Unidas, Vintage Values, and Our Infant of Prague.
