Airport Transportation

For your convenience, MarineQuest staff can pick-up your student from ILM on the first day of their program and drop them off on the final day. This service is provided ONLY on the first and last day.

Based on your students age there may be a charge associated with the MarineQuest Airport Shuttle.  Check with the airlines for details/restrictions about children flying alone. Generally, airlines require students 14 and under to fly as a registered unaccompanied minor.  See below for MairneQuest services provided based on student age. 

Arrivals should be scheduled on the first day of the program (Sunday). Arrival times should be selected between 12:00-3:00 p.m. (when possible).

Departures should be scheduled on the last day of the program (Friday). Departure times should be selected between 12:00-3:00 p.m. (when possible). 

If your arrival or departure flight times cannot be booked between the above-listed time frames, please email marinequest@uncw.edu or call 910.962.3437 before booking your flight for special approval and to confirm that staff is available for airport pick-up or drop-off.

To arrange for an airport pick-up or drop-off, you are required to complete the online MarineQuest Airport Transportation Request form. Please note, airport shuttle requests must be made at least TWO WEEKS before the scheduled flight.

If your student needs to travel outside of the preferred time frame please contact us via email or call 910.962.3437 before making your airline reservation. This allows us to confirm staff availability to meet your child at the airport.
