To grant access to a member of any of the groups listed below, the individual must have a valid UNCW OneCard. If the individual does not have a OneCard, then we have nothing to apply access against. For information about obtaining a UNCW OneCard, please refer to the instructions provided by the OneCard Office.
Students
All student access requests must come from a faculty or staff representative (typically the department Access Liaison). Student access is typically determined by the areas they need to access outside of a building's standard operating hours. Additional access may be required based on a class they are enrolled in, a campus job they maintain, or a special project they are involved with.
Faculty/Staff
Access requests for faculty and staff should always be submitted to the Access Liaison for your associated department. This individual works with the access management team to design and maintain access levels to suit your department's needs. If you are unsure of who your department's Access Liaison is, please reach out to accessmgmt@uncw.edu and we will be happy to help you find the correct contact.
Campus Affiliates
Members who are not active students or staff may need OneCard access to campus spaces. Examples of these groups could include contractors, research associates or third-party vendors. As long as a member of these groups has a valid UNCW OneCard and access is requested through an appropriate representative, our team can assist with providing OneCard access.
