As a First-Year Spring Admit (FYSA) student, you have the flexibility of choosing how to spend your fall semester. There are no requirements put on FYSA students for the fall, but several options are available:
- Academics. If you wish to get a head start on your academics, you can take classes at a community college near home or close to UNCW.
- Internships. Internships are an excellent opportunity to explore a career field. Students are encouraged to find their own (non-credit) internships.
- Work. Some students choose to work full- or part-time in order to save money to help finance college costs
- Study Abroad. Use the fall semester to study abroad with other spring admits through our FYSA in Ireland program, which invites FYSA students to earn credits abroad at our partner university in Maynooth University, in Maynooth, Ireland.
Within myUNCW, students can also access their UNCW e-mail, calendar, and read about campus news and events. If you have trouble logging in or using the tools in myUNCW, contact the Technology Assistance Center (TAC).
