Kevin H. Sills, a resident of Apex, NC, was appointed to the UNCW Board of Trustees in July 2022 by the Speaker of the House.
He serves as Chair of the External Affairs Committee and as a member of the Educational Planning and Programs Committee and Executive Committee. Sills was previously appointed by the Governor to the NC Workforce Development Commission (now NCWorks), where he served two years.
Sills holds a Bachelor of Science in biology and medical technology from UNCW. He is president of Longleaf Pharmaceutical Associates and serves as an expert advisor to small and mid-cap and companies. He is chief executive officer for Asterra Labs, LLC.
He is a highly accomplished senior executive with more than 32 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and consulting industry.
