- Seahawk Swap Shop
In partnership with SGA, the Seahawk Swap Shop is UNCW's first campus free store. Open to anyone with a OneCard, we invite students, faculty, and staff to shop and donate. We believe that one person's unwanted items can be another's treasure!

WE WILL BE CLOSED FOR SPRING BREAK

How It Works
Take what you need. Donate what you don't.
During the shop's opening hours, faculty, staff, and students are free to shop and take whatever items they need. There's no cost to shop, and folks don't need to bring something to get something. We only ask that you take what you can use or give - never to resell.
Our shelves are stocked with donations from staff, faculty, and students. The store stocks just about anything: clothing and accessories, household decor and office supplies, kitchen items and small appliances. Items must be clean, gently-owned, and in working order.
Donations can be dropped during store hours or at the Office of Sustainability during business hours. Please DO NOT leave donations on the floor outside the space. Clutter in the hallways could create hazards, and we want to be respectful of the space we share with others in the building. If you have a questions about what we accept or what's in inventory, please email questions to sustainability@uncw.edu.
Why It's Important
Free stores like the Seahawk Swap Shop create a circular economy that focuses on waste diversion, emission reduction, and social responsibility. Together, we're working on keeping usable items out of the landfill, reducing emissions by not demanding new materials, and creating an environment where anyone is welcome regardless of what you have or don't have.
Swap Shop provides an opportunity to strengthen our campus community by creating a space where Seahawks can build each other up and take care of one another.
