Date | 2024-25 Parking Permits |
---|---|
April 1, 2024 | Online registration for student parking permits begins. Students should register for classes before registering for a parking permit. Virtual permits are assigned on a "first-come, first-served" basis based upon the time of registration, with no advantage by class standing (i.e. Senior, Junior, Sophomore, Freshman). |
June 2024 |
Incoming Resident Freshmen may complete step 1 of the parking permit registration process. Step 2 will be completed after receiving their housing assignment (in June). An email will be sent to notify students to complete step 2 and their permit purchase. The permit cost will appear on the student account e-bill (see issue/due dates). |
August 23, 2024 | Parking Enforcement will begin writing citations for vehicles that do not have an active virtual permit linked to their vehicle's license plate number. |
December 2024 | Permit billing to Spring term begins. This is an opportunity for permits to be billed to the spring term for:

**Please Note: Incoming Resident Freshmen will not be able to complete step 2 until AFTER they receive their housing assignment. An email will be sent once step 2 is available in June.**
Virtual Parking Permits are assigned to your license plate, meaning there is no physical permit to pick up or place on your vehicle!
Because your parking permit is associated with your license plate, you must park with your license plate facing the drive lane (cannot back in or pull through a parking space).
You will need the following information when registering for your Isaac Bear student parking permit:
Registration Instructions:
All participants and all of their vehicles must be registered on the Student Carpool Registration Form to be associated with the carpool program.
Contact parking@uncw.edu with any questions.
When registering for your parking online please be sure to select the Active Military/Veteran checkbox. All requests will be verified with Admissions prior to permit release.
