Seahawk Mail notifies students by email to come to the mail window in the Fisher University Union to sign for and receive their package(s)/letter(s). Email notifications are generated daily until your package/letter is picked up. If your package is not picked up in a timely manner, the student will be notified by email that the package/letter is overdue for pickup, and will be returned to the sender soon as "unclaimed".
When picking up your package, please present your UNCW One Card for identification to the postal window clerk.

The Seahawk Mail center accepts credit/debit ($3.00 minimum purchase), cash, checks with proper ID, or UNCW One Card Seahawk Buck$. If cash is needed, an ATM is located to the right of the POD Market.
UNCW departments may use Seahawk Mail for all of their shipping needs. However, departments must provide their fund number for each mail piece. Seahawk Mail delivers and picks up all incoming USPS mail and intra-campus mail to departments daily, dependent on department needs and requirements. Department mailing is for university business only.

Upon return, students need to notify Seahawk Mail and receive a new campus box assignment.
Students who graduate, or who will not return to UNCW, will have personal U.S. Postal Service (USPS) first-class mail forwarded for one year and magazines/newspapers forwarded for 60 days. To avoid the delays in forwarding mail, notify anyone sending mail to your UNCW campus box of your new address.
Seahawk Mail is allowed to forward only U.S. Postal Service (USPS) packages, letters, newspapers and magazines. We are not allowed to forward FedEx or UPS mail or parcels. All FedEx or UPS packages will be returned to the sender.

Yes. Commuter students, grad students, students seeking a second degree and faculty/staff are welcome to rent a campus box at Seahawk Mail. Simply come to the Seahawk Mail postal window, and we will assist you in renting a box.

Customs forms are required to ship any packages overseas in order for the package to clear customs. Contract Postal Units can no longer accept international mail pieces with handwritten custom forms. Customs forms must be prepared and printed online before bringing your mail to Seahawk Mail.

There are also U.S. postal collection boxes throughout the campus where you can also drop off mail. Postal collection boxes are strictly for letters with stamps affixed and destinations off campus ONLY. Under no circumstances should mail that needs to be metered or intra-campus mail be deposited in the collection boxes.
Departmental intra-campus mail may be deposited in the special mail slot located at Seahawk Mail, next to the ADA window, or left in your departmental mailbox.
No, for the safety of our students, all parcels are delivered to the Seahawk Mail Center, located in the Fisher University Union. Seahawk Mail does not deliver packages to residence halls.
Seahawk Mail notifies the students by email to come to the mail window in the Fisher University Union to sign for and receive their package. Students can also access the Seahawk Mail Package Notification System to view packages that are ready to be picked up.

Seahawk Mail recommends that you use checks or money orders rather than cash when sending monetary gifts. Money orders can be bought at Seahawk Mail or any other post office, and this provides a safe way of ensuring that gifts are received.
