Not every position is filled through elections! If you would like to learn how you can be appointed to an open position please fill out this application.
Appointed members are held to the same standards as those interested in joining as full members of Student Government. Please see the information on the Duties and Responsibilities page if you have any questions on your eligibility.
Learn more about becoming an off-body member.
You can also serve as an off-body member on a number of different committees. This is a great alternative if you do not have the time to commit every week! Please contact sga@uncw.edu if you are interested or want more information!
There are several Chancellor level committees where students input and feedback is critical. If you are interested in sharing your voice with administration and representing your fellow students, contact the Student Body President and they will share with you the opportunities available to get involved.
Some of these Chancellor-level committees include, but are not limited to:
- Campus Climate Committee (serves to provide feedback on diversity and inclusion initiatives across campus)
- Athletic Council (provides feedback about athletic policies and practices)
- Campus Recreation Committee (offers feedback about campus recreation programs, services, funding, and facilities)
- Student Organizations Committee (oversees the student organization registration process and determines student organization awards)
