PERCH: Tenant Education Program

The Tenant Education Program (TEP) is an online workshop about lease signing and off-campus living to provide UNCW students with the tools to be good neighbors, responsible community members, and better tenants. Students will earn a certificate once they have successfully completed the program, as well as access to various incentives from participating landlord partners.

Modules and Topics Covered

The TEP workshop is comprised of four modules, each highlighting various aspects of off-campus living. These include:

  • Off-Campus Housing search
  • Renting and Lease Language
  • Being a Good Neighbor
  • Breaks and Safety

How to Enroll

All UNCW students can self-enroll in the Canvas course.

If you are a parent, community partner, or member of the public and are interested in accessing program materials, you can enroll here.

Once you enroll in the course, click "Getting Started" at the top and go through the modules in order.

Landlord Incentives

For completing the program, if you present your certificate, the following landlords will offer a variety of incentives:

Aspire 349 will offer waived application fees & security deposit as well as and premier SWAG for signing a lease
Redpoint will offer waived application fees and premier SWAG for signing a lease
Camden Forest will offer premier SWAG for signing a lease
Wilshire Landing will offer premier SWAG for signing a lease
Plato's Lofts at Randall will offer premier SWAG for signing a lease
