Course section titles reside in two places in Banner SSASECT and SSASYLB. SSASECT has the section short title, and SSASYLB contains the section long title.
When courses are rolled each term, the course titles come from the catalog equivalents of these two forms, SCACRSE has the course short title, and SCASYLB has the course long title. There are seven categories of courses that can have variance between the catalog title to the section title.
Courses which can have catalog to section title variance:
- Seminars
- Topics
- Independent Studies
- Internships
- Trial Courses
- Honors courses taught within a subject – UG only.
- PED 101 Labs
No other courses should have their course titles changed from the official catalog title for the course.
