LinkedIn Learning

Ways You Can Use LinkedIn Learning

UNCW instructors use LinkedIn Learning in various ways to enhance their teaching toolkit. LinkedIn Learning’s instructional videos and courses provide additional learner support in informational literacy, teamwork and collaboration skills, content-specific instruction, and increasing knowledge of digital tools. The Canvas integration and content support services enhance the user experience for both instructors and students.

Canvas Integration

  • LinkedIn Learning’s Canvas integration allows learners to interact with LinkedIn Learning content within the Canvas platform.
  • Did you know LinkedIn Learning can be integrated into your Canvas grade book? The grade book integration allows you to assign learners specific videos or courses and students will automatically receive credit for engaging with the content.

NEW Content Mapping Service

  • DEeL offers a content mapping service through LinkedIn Learning. You, as the instructor, identify specific skills, competencies, or topics you are looking for, and LinkedIn Learning will curate a list of potential videos for you. Utilizing this service significantly streamlines the curation process, saving you valuable time and providing you with an array of video content specific to your needs in a convenient spreadsheet.
Requesting a Custom Linked Content Map
  1. Email eLearning@uncw.edu to request "LinkedIn Learning Content Mapping".
  2. A team member will provide you with an Excel spreadsheet to collect detailed information about the type of content you are looking for and will also be available to answer any questions you may have about the spreadsheet or content integration.
  3. Your custom LinkedIn Learning content map will be returned to you within two weeks.
