Mind-Body Programs

Picture of Crimson MoonOur Mind-Body team is developing a number of mind-body programs. For several years we have implemented mindfulness and meditaton programs, presented on campus for students, faculty and staff. We consult with university departments to assist in developing various university programs and environments, enhanced by theory and principles of mind-body science.

Below we will be listing and describing various applications of mind-body programs and our lastest intiatives.

Challenges, Approaches and Research

There is great interest internationally in seeking best practices for addressing the complexity of concentration problems, mood issues, and motivation issues in academic settings. Evolving approaches or methods being researched and used to address such issues on and off campus include:

  • Breathing Techniques
  • Meditation

Our emWave Training Program

We now use emWave stress relief systems in the Counseling Center and in stress-relief training programs on campus. Utilizing the latest in user-friendly computer driven software, sensors and portable stress-feedback devices you can learn how to calm your "nerves", focus, and energize your mind and body.
