Students can work toward one of two different master’s degrees offered through the department or participate in a program to earn both a bachelor’s and master’s degree.
M.S. Data Science:
- Operates on a 16-month, accelerated schedule
- Emphasizes computational-based applications of traditional data analysis methods as well as current trends in data mining and machine learning.
- Incorporates a 6-month practicum with a partner organization.
M.S. Computer Science & Information Systems:
- Interdisciplinary program with faculty from the Cameron School of Business and the College of Arts & Sciences.
- Part of the Professional Science Master's (PSM) Program, designed to allow students to pursue advanced training in science or mathematics and simultaneously develop skills highly valued by employers.
Students who enter as undergraduates and know they want a graduate degree in computer science also have the option of choose our combined B.S./M.S. CSIS Program (4+1) program, which enables you to earn a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Computer Science and Information Systems in five years.
