Advising

• Set up an appointment with your favorite faculty member or stop by their office during office hours, the Marketing faculty are excited to chat with you about your future!
• Take advantage of the resources in Cameron’s Career Success Center!

It’s never too early to develop a plan, ask a faculty member or Cameron’s advising center for help:

• To obtain your registration pin, you will be assigned an advisor by UNCW each semester. Initial advisors are in Center for Academic Advising, Pre-Business Students (Business students not yet accepted into Cameron) are advised through Cameron’s Advising Center, and Business Students (already accepted into Cameron) are assigned a faculty advisor.
• Students assigned a faculty advisor in Marketing will participate in an advising process that consists of in-person group sessions to lay a foundation, approve a semester's worth of courses, and distribute registration pin numbers. Following the in-person sessions, students with additional questions should schedule a meeting with their advisor or the department chair. 

If a student misses the in-person sessions, they will need to follow an online make-up advising process and their registration will be delayed. Contact the department chair for more information.
