- CFA Program Scholarship
The Economics and Finance Department in the Cameron School of Business at the University of North Carolina Wilmington is proud to be recognized by the CFA Institute, the global credentialing body for investment management professionals, as an affiliated university in part because the UNCW curriculum is aligned with the CFA Program Body of Knowledge.
This honor allows the Cameron School of Business to offer Economics and Finance students scholarships to the CFA Program, the gold standard of investment management certifications.
Scholarship Overview
This opportunity is for students in their last year of undergraduate study or in the Master of Science in Finance and Investment Management program, who wish to register for one of the three levels of the CFA exam sequence.
- The application can be submitted for any of the three levels of CFA exams, and may be submitted at any time.
- The scholarship covers the one-time CFA Program enrollment fee and reduces the exam registration fee to $400, a savings of over $1,200 (includes access to the curriculum eBook.)
- Scholarship recipients must register for an upcoming CFA exam within seven months and take the exam within one year of the scholarship award.
- The exams are typically administered at Prometric Testing Centers in numerous cities, although the Wilmington facility has been closed during the pandemic.
How Do I Apply?
- Submit the UNCW portion of the application online.
- Submit the CFA Institute portion of the application online. You will need to establish a free account. If the application asks for the University's principal contact, please list Dr. Stephen Horan.
