2024 Seahawk Musician for a Day The Department of Music invites you to join us on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024 to become a Seahawk Musician for a Day! High school, home-school, and community college students can explore life as a UNCW music major: attend classes, meet our faculty and students, sit in on ensembles and explore our beautiful Cultural Arts Building. 2024 Brass Day The brass faculty of the UNCW Department of Music invites you to join us on Saturday, November 16, 2024 for Brass Day! High school, home-school, and community brass players will work with our faculty in large and small ensembles, and in master classes, culminating in a finale concert. Registration is free. Join Us
2024 Honor Band Festival Festival participants are selected based on their musical accomplishments and their director’s assessment and recommendation. They attend performances by the UNCW Symphonic Band, jazz and faculty ensembles and participate in rehearsals and master classes with faculty. Honor Band Festival
2025 Woodwind Day The woodwind faculty of the UNCW Department of Music invites you to join us on Saturday, January 25, 2025 for Woodwind Day! Open to high school woodwind players (flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet and saxophone) grades 9-12, with the recommendation of their school band or orchestra director. Students will work with our faculty in large and small ensembles, and in masterclasses, culminating in a final concert. Woodwind Day
2025 Music Production Day Join UNCW faculty and guest artists on February 1, 2025 for a day of music production. High school, home-schooled, and community college students are invited to attend. Participants are encouraged to share recorded and produced songs or perform live during the showcase concert. Registration is free. Check It Out
2025 Piano + Strings Day The piano and string faculty of the UNCW Department of Music invites you to join us on Saturday, February 8, 2025 for Piano + Strings Day!
