Community Partner Expectations
Community Partner Expectations
- Provide Health Equity Bonner Fellowship fellow(s) with clear expectations, including job descriptions, an orientation to the agency, and a schedule of service hours.
 - Work with fellow(s) to correct problem behaviors or failure to meet expectations. The Health Equity Bonner Fellowship affirms the community partner’s right to terminate a Fellow for unsatisfactory performance. However, the site should notify the Fellows Coordinator in advance of any termination.
 - Guidance and support for professional development at the site.
 - Communicate with the Fellows directly as much as possible. Feel free to contact the appropriate Coordinator with questions, ideas, if you are having trouble contacting a fellow, or if you are having significant problems with a fellow.
 - Please meet with the Health Equity Bonner Fellows at the beginning of each semester and obtain their class schedule. Fellows are NOT permitted to work during class hours.
 - Commit to work with the Health Equity Bonner Fellows to help develop their skills and abilities, and to expose them to the agency as a whole.
 - Partners are encouraged to provide training opportunities to the fellows.
 - Additional expectations and policies are included in the Community Partner Handbook.
 - Complete required site placement paperwork, evaluations, and check-ins with Health Equity Bonner Fellowship Staff.
