Quick Trouble-Shooting

  • Logging In:

    Starfish utilizes two-factor authentication (2FA) for your UNCW login credentials.  We recommend using the most recent version of Chrome and encourage you to never select the "remember me" option when logging in.  Please note that Internet Explorer is no longer supported.  If you continue having issues, please try clearing your cache.

  • What if I click the Starfish link and get a “You do not have access” message?

    Contact for assistance with accessing the Starfish system.

  • What if I don’t see anyone listed in My Success Network?

    Your specific advisor(s) might not be assigned yet, or may be assigned for a future semester that has not yet started.  Check back later or contact your home department for additional assistance.

  • What if I have questions about a flag?

    Follow up with the instructor or advisor who raised the flag.

For Faculty & Staff

  • What if I get an error when I try to sync my UNCW calendar with Starfish?

    Please be sure you've checked the box "Read busy times from my external calendar" in the Appointment Notifications section of Starfish.  Then, please be sure to share your Outlook calendar with '' and check the box 'Can read all details'. If this does not work, you can submit a help ticket online or contact the Technology Assistance Center (TAC).
