Students, faculty, staff and campus visitors should take the following precautions while near campus construction areas:
- Follow posted safety signs.
- Do not cross construction fencing or take “shortcuts” through work sites.
- Pay attention to the path ahead to avoid collisions with barriers, fences, construction personnel, etc. Watch for changes in walkways and/or uneven surfaces.
- Report safety concerns to ehs@uncw.edu.
- Individuals who experience or recognize disability access concerns should contact UNCW’s ADA compliance coordinator, indicating the nature of the concern and to the best of their ability, the specific location.
