These groups are offered in collaboration with the UNCW Counseling Center and hosted by the office listed below. They are NOT considered counseling groups and do not require a pre-group orientation. These are weekly drop-in groups that students can join at any time and talk about pertinent issues, learn from each other, and receive support for their concerns. If interested in attending, see the host center’s website or talk to a Counseling Center therapist for more information.

Black Table Talk (Tuesday, 3-4pm) hosted by the Upperman African American Cultural Center. Weekly Support/Discussion group for Black students.

Drop-In Support Hours These weekly drop-in support hours are offered in collaboration with and located at the offices listed below.  Students can feel free to drop by and have informal chats with a therapist about life, stress, mental health, relationships, and ways that we can be our healthiest selves. These chats are informational in nature and not considered therapy. If not one-on-one with a student, you can find the therapist chatting with others in the center.  Just look for their name tag and let them know you would like to talk.
