UNCW coordinates leadership development opportunities for all students to build their capacity for leadership.

About Leadership Development

Our mission with leadership development programs is to provide engaging, hands-on experiences for students to learn about the practice of leadership, the skills and capacities needed for effective leadership, and opportunities to develop the necessary skills to make a difference while at UNCW and beyond. Leadership Development is within the Student Involvement and Leadership unit of the Department of Campus Life. 

  
Seahawk Leadership Week This week of events introduces campus to leadership development opportunities. Events are free, open to all students, and provide a great way to jump start your leadership development journey. Jump into leadership
Leadership Retreats Catalyst, ACTIVATE, and ELEVATE are one-day and overnight retreats for an immersive leadership development experience. Each program features meals, group discussion, and hands-on activities for leadership learning. Dive into leadership
Leadership Workshops We offer workshops throughout the year on various topics & workshops by request to various groups. Topics include skills related to Emotionally Intelligent Leadership & CliftonStrengths. See upcoming workshops
Leadership Educators These students provide leadership experiences to fellow Seahawks by developing and facilitating workshops as well as facilitating small group discussion at leadership retreats. Join the team

CAIC Business Hours:

Monday - Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Thursday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Closed on Saturday and Sunday. 

Summer 2023 Business Hours:

Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Closed on Saturday and Sunday.
