Campus Life Marketing

  • Canva for Campus

CLMarketing provides administrative oversight of Canva Design at UNCW! Canva Design is a graphic design platform that is user-friendly and easy to learn so campus departments, student organizations, classes, and more can collaborate efficiently to design for social media, presentations, videography, and truly anything else you can think of to create.

What all can be done with Canva Design?

    • Visual documents including worksuite, presentations, PDF editor, and data graphs or charts.
    • Photography and videography editing.
    • Design for logo(s), posters and flyers, and social media - even QR Codes!

How do I get access to Canva for Campus?

    • Campus departments who wish to utilize Canva for business operations will need to request a purchase of licenses via a uShop requisition as a non-catalog item coded as a software subscription. Campus departments should plan to purchase a license for each individual needing a license. A license totals at roughly $125.00 per calendar year. Upon approval of the requisition by Purchasing and Information & Technology Services, you will be directed to Campus Life Marketing to have all license holders onboard to the university workspace.
      • All inquiries related to Canva licensing and purchases should be directed to purchasing@uncw.edu
    • NOTE: The annual campus renewal process for Canva Design begins on November 1 of each calendar year. Campus departments newly requesting licenses will be included in the annual campus renewal to have their license timeframe begin on January 1 of the upcoming calendar year. Campus departments who request outside of the annual campus renewal timeline will complete the procedures above.
  • CLMarketing promotes a variety of events hosted all throughout UNCW! All event features in our print and digital outlets, including the Hawk eNews and Campus Life Bulletin, are sourced from Wavelink, UNCW's Student Engagement and Events Portal. Event submissions in Wavelink provide the important information CLMarketing needs to market your events!

    • Featured events in CLMarketing outlets must come from a UNCW Registered Student Organization or Campus Department. We do not consider events from non-UNCW entities.
    • UNCW Registered Student Organizations must submit their event details into Wavelink. All Registered Student Organizations receive a Wavelink page upon registration with the Campus Activities & Involvement Center (CAIC). Campus departments can request a Wavelink page by emailing activities@uncw.edu.
    • Events submissions should be entered in Wavelink no later than three (3) weeks out from the desired distribution date.
    • Due to the high number of campus events, we are unable to showcase every opportunity within CLMarketing outlets thus we cannot guarantee your event will be included. We make strong efforts in the design and review process to showcase a diverse roster of events across all our outlets!
  • A weekly events newsletter is sent to all UNCW students every Teal Tuesday! Hawk eNews features select UNCW events, programs, and announcements as recommendations for students to engage throughout the week. Staff, faculty, and friends of UNCW may request to receive the Hawk eNews by submitting the subscription request below.

Are you a UNCW Registered Student Organization or Campus Department wanting to promote your event in the Hawk eNews? Please see the Event Features tab for guidance.
