Connect your students to nonprofits
QENO is here to help you and your students engage with the local nonprofit community through the following approaches:
Applied Learning
- Match your students with nonprofit organizations for applied course assignments or internship opportunities
- Support your students and nonprofit leaders in creating a mutually beneficial experience
- Help you design course assignments or internship requirements that enhance student learning outcomes without overburdening nonprofit leaders
Guest Lectures
- Visit your classroom to present on the nonprofit sector, career opportunities, and other related topics
Community-Based Collaborations & Research
- Introduce you to nonprofit leaders who work in the field you study
- Help design mutually beneficial, community-based research projects
- Establish and/or facilitate ongoing, collaborative project management systems

Other Resources at UNCW
You’re invited to use ENGAGE UNCW to manage your academic community-engaged learning or service-learning course. The platform provides useful tools for connecting with community partners, managing student reflections, for students to submit their service hours, and for you to manage student service hours and course outcomes. If you would like your course to be tagged so that you can access these features, contact Dr. Jeanine Minge, Associate Provost for Community Engagement and Impact, at mingej@uncw.edu.
