Time to Submit Your Spring Semester Requests
The Spring semester will be here before you know it, and now is the time to plan ahead. As part of our semester-based schedule, all classroom, lab and shared computing software requests should be submitted by Nov. 1 for the Spring semester.
Submitting by this deadline allows our team time to test for compatibility and prepare everything for a smooth start to the semester.
Software Request Examples
Examples of when you should submit a request include:
- Installing new software that is not currently available
- Reinstalling existing software in a classroom or lab
- Requesting an updated version of previously installed software
Key Dates for Software Requests
We follow a semester-based schedule* to ensure your software is available when you need it and is tested with all supported configurations.
- Nov. 1: Spring semester deadline
- March 1: Summer semester deadline
- June 1: Fall semester deadline
*Note: This schedule applies only to classrooms, labs, and shared computing environments. If you have a UNCW-owned device, you can request software at any time and will not be affected by this schedule.
