Instructors may cancel a student’s registration if the student misses the first class and fails to notify the instructor within 24 hours. Emergencies or extenuating circumstances may appeal to the appropriate dean’s office.
Students should not assume that failing to attend class counts as dropping or withdrawing. Students are responsible for all academic and financial results of non-attendance and/ or failing to drop/withdrawal. Seats made available through cancellations may be filled during the drop/add period.
If you are planning to register for a course, participating from a location outside of the state of North Carolina, please contact Distance and Online Education (910.962.2953). This will often apply to fully-online courses, internships, etc.
Distance Education and Extension Courses
Students registering for courses while located outside North Carolina should contact Distance and Online Education at 910.962.2953. Some distance or extension courses may require proctored exams, which could involve additional fees and the use of an independent testing facility. Students should consult their instructors for details regarding exam requirements.
