Flicker Film Society
Flicker Film Society exists to create an atmosphere of hands-on learning within film and its surrounding industries.
We are a student-run group providing real production experience to any and all UNCW students, and we are a group that thrives on a love for movies. Our membership is open to anyone at UNCW who shares our passion. By no means do you have to be a film major, nor do you have to want to make films professionally, or even know how to work a camera. An interest in any aspect of film is all that's necessary.
Our club has our own supply of filmmaking equipment available for rental to members who have paid their dues ($5 a semester), a large list of professional contacts in the Wilmington film industry, an extensive filmography of independent productions and projects created for campus entities, and an established partnership with the Film Studies department at UNCW. But above all, we seek to contribute to a thriving independent film community at UNCW and the greater Wilmington area.
You can stop by our office in the Student Media Center in the Fisher University Union to visit any of our officers and learn more, or check out our website and send us an email. Follow Flicker on facebook and twitter for even more up-to-date information!

Screenwriter's Club
The Screenwriter's Club is UNCW's screenwriting organization where students get together to workshop each others' works weekly. Every Monday, we introduce prospective screenwriters proper script formatting, familiarize writers with screenwriting software, help writers get started on scripts, and provide a critical forum on finished scripts and scripts in progress. Bring your work and get workshopped!
Meetings are Monday nights at 6:30pm in Kenan Hall, room 1112. Submit scripts to screenwritersclub@gmail.com.
