North Carolina Community College transfer students, who have earned an AA, AS, AE, AFA, AATP, or ASTP degree meeting the requirements of the North Carolina Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA) will receive a waiver of all University Studies requirements in the Core Curriculum, as well as three credits each in the Writing Intensive and the Information Literacy competencies.
There are also more specific articulation agreements (e.g., Bilateral Articulation Agreement) between some NCCCs and UNCW, and some agreements are specific to programs within a community college.
