1. Learn About Campus Parking & One Card

All employees should have an official UNCW ID, known as a One Card, and are required to pay to park when working on campus.

One Card: Request a One Card through the Employee Essentials tab on MySeaport.

• Complete your section of the ID request form.
• Follow the guidelines carefully to upload your photo through MySeaport under the employee essentials tab. If you have any issues, reach out to the onecard@uncw.edu for help.
• After you submit the form and photo, the One Card office will send you an email when your card is ready. The One Card office is located across from Dub’s Café in the Warwick Center (Map). Please bring a valid photo id with you when you go to the One Card office to pick up your One Card.

Parking Permit: All students, faculty and staff who park on campus must purchase a parking permit through the Parking Portal. Annual permit prices are based on salary ranges and can be paid in full at the time of purchase, or on a monthly payroll deduction*.

To access the parking portal, login to MySeaport, select the 'Employee Essentials' tab at the top of the page, then select the Parking Portal link under Services & Links:

• In the Parking Portal, select 'Permits' then select 'Get Permits' and follow the step-by-step instructions. Once completed, you will see a Permit Registration Receipt and will receive an email that you successfully registered for a permit.
• If you elect to pay for an annual parking permit through payroll deduction*, you will not incur a monthly charge during June and July because the cost of the permit is divided over 10 months (Aug – May) instead of 12.

*If you are a new employee hired between May 15 and July 31, you will not have the option to purchase summer parking permits through payroll deduction, as annual permit payroll deductions are through Aug to May payroll periods only.

If you are hired between May 15 and July 31, your summer parking permit options are as follows:

• • Summer Permit: $45/summer (June and July), login to the parking portal to purchase (available May 15).
  • Weekly Permit: $20/week, login to the parking portal to purchase. (No gate access)
  • Day Permit: $5/day, login to the parking portal to purchase. (No gate access)
  • Hourly Parking: Available at any ParkMobile location, $2/hour. See ParkMobile locations for more information.

Parking permits are virtual, so your license plate acts as the permit. Your license plate must face the travel lane. If you prefer to back into a parking space, the parking office will issue a free vanity plate with your license plate number for the front of your vehicle. To take advantage of this limited time offer, complete this request form instead of purchasing one on the parking portal.

2. Explore the Technology Assistance Center (TAC)

TAC is UNCW's one-stop-shop for all your technology needs. 3. Complete the mySeaport Scavenger Hunt

UNCW's mySeaport portal is a convenient way to access many of the applications you use from one location. From applications like email, SeaNet, Banner and numerous others, mySeaport ties all of these applications together into a single-sign-on (SSO) experience. Log in once with your UNCW credentials and you're connected!

4. Read the 07.100 Responsible Use of Electronic Resources Policy

This policy provides guidelines for the responsible and appropriate use of the university’s electronic computing and communication resources and services. Important points from the policy include:

• UNCW electronic resources should not be utilized for personal gain.
• The personal identity of faculty, staff and students are protected.
• UNCW resources should not be utilized to cause harm to any entity or individual.

5. Read the 08.120 Secondary Employment Policy

UNCW's Secondary Employment Policy - we know that you have a life outside of UNCW and may even have a second job. If so, the employment responsibilities to the State are primary for any employee working full-time; any other employment is secondary. Employees are required to have approval from their supervisor before engaging in any secondary employment.
