COURSE REGISTRATION
Academic Advising
Course registration for the spring semester is virtual and will open on December 5 at 10 a.m. for all transfer students, regardless of whether you select online or in-person orientation. Your registration window remains open until the drop/add period ends at the start of the semester.
Check your UNCW email regularly for communication from your advisor. Your advising process is based on the academic college you’ve been admitted to, so it is important to respond to communication from your advisor as soon as possible.
Students who miss the orientation registration deadline should contact Transition Programs immediately at transitions@uncw.edu, as this will impact course registration.
ADDITIONAL ONLINE MODULES
U Got This! Violence Prevention Modules – due by January 13 (First Day of Classes)
All students are required to complete the U Got This! Violence Prevention modules before the first day of classes. U Got This! is an interactive, video-based program that engages students in conversations around sexual violence, dating violence, stalking, and harassment. Students can access the U Got This! Violence Prevention modules on their Orientation Task List after registering for orientation. The interactive modules can be completed on a computer or mobile device and will take approximately 45 minutes to complete. Contact care@uncw.edu to request an exemption from the program.
Find and select the item on your enrollment checklist that requires you to register for orientation.
Select the event you would like to attend and fill out the registration form. There is a section labeled “My Guest” (for in-person orientation only) where you can add guest information, if guests are attending with you. Please note there will be a separate payment activity added to your enrollment checklist for your guest fees.
Once the registration form is completed and payment activity submitted, students and registered guests will receive a payment confirmation e-mail.
EMPLOYEE FEE WAIVER
UNCW employees should check with Human Resources about special benefits for faculty, staff, and their dependents prior to submitting an orientation reservation for you or your student.
UNCW faculty, staff, and their dependents may be eligible to have the orientation fee waived.
