International Student Orientation

International Student Orientation

January 10th & 11th 2025

UNCW’s Office of International Students and Scholars organizes an orientation for all new international first-year, transfer and graduate students every fall and spring semester. This mandatory orientation welcomes, prepares, and engages international students as they adjust to life at UNCW. At orientation, students become familiar with their new surroundings and are told about opportunities and resources both on and off campus. Students learn about important immigration regulations and make friends with other new and returning students. See the International Student Orientation schedule below

Registration:

All international students register for International Student Orientation in the International Student Pre-Arrival Checklist in Canvas. Please contact international@uncw.edu with any questions.

Other Required Orientations

In addition to International Student Orientation, degree-seeking international students are also required to attend a second program-specific orientation:

Enrollment deposit is due prior to registering for orientation.

First-Year Orientation
January 10th, 2025

Degree-seeking first-year students are also required to register and attend First-Year Orientation.

Online Orientation available for transfer students

Degree-seeking transfer students are also required to register and attend Transfer Orientation (this includes TABSA, MARMARA, and Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences students.).

Graduate Students

International graduate students may be required to also attend a departmental orientation. Please check with your graduate program coordinator.
