Three-Plus-Two Computer Science & Electrical or Computer Engineering Program

Earn Two Degrees in Five Years!
  • 100%

Upon transfer to NC State, 100% of 3+2 students have graduated with their chosen engineering degree

  • 3.25

Goal GPA to maximize chances for admission to pursue the engineering degree portion of the program

  • 1-3

NC State Engineering courses taken on-site at UNCW in the first 3 years of study

Find your career in:

Develop, design, and test software applications.

Design, develop, and test electrical equipment, such as electric motors, radar and navigation systems, communications systems, or power generation equipment.

Design and analyze algorithms to solve programs and study the performance of computer hardware and software.

Design, test, and implement new software applications or programs.

Program websites, apps, and other technologies.

Learn to

Apply analysis, design, development and testing principles in the construction of software systems

Function effectively on a software development team

Apply mathematical, algorithmic and computing principles appropriate to the design and implementation of computer-based systems

Communicate effectively on technical subject matters

Recognize of the value of continued professional development, as evidenced by the ability to acquire and use appropriate techniques, skills, and tools necessary for computing practice

The engineering classes that you take at UNCW are the same classes that are taken at NCSU, but with much smaller class sizes, which I found very advantageous.
