The Neuroscience and Behavior concentration is a 36-credit hour program designed to prepare students for subsequent entry into doctoral programs in neuroscience, behavioral neuroscience and related domains.
Students in this two-year program gain a strong foundation in the biological bases of behavior, experimental design, data analysis, and research methodology while working closely with faculty on independent and collaborative research projects. Interdisciplinary elective courses enable students to customize their training, broadening both their expertise and career opportunities. Graduates are exceptionally well-prepared for doctoral study in neuroscience, behavioral neuroscience, and related disciplines. Alumni also pursue diverse science-related careers, including pharmaceutical scientist, faculty/instructor, research coordinator/technician, and positions in science communication or marketing.
