An accountant is responsible for keeping and interpreting financial records. Most accountants are responsible for a wide range of finance-related tasks, either for individual clients or larger businesses/organizations employing them.

Business analysts work with end users to help develop apps and information systems to solve business problems and improve the efficiency or productivity of firms.

A business data analyst understands and communicates trends in business based on the massive amounts of data collected by firms.

A business developer builds business relationships with prospective customers. The developer's goal is to grow the company by qualifying sales leads and expanding the business' reach into new markets.

Entrepreneur concentration majors may work within a company to help it be more innovative or start their own businesses.
Financial analysts work in many areas of a firm, from planning, to real estate to fin-tech applications.

Human resources managers plan, coordinate, and direct the administrative functions of an organization. They oversee the recruiting, interviewing and hiring of new staff.

Management and Leadership concentration students may work within a firm to help manage the day to day operations of an organization.

Market research analysts gather and analyze data on consumers and competitors. Market research analysts study market conditions to examine potential sales of a product or service.

Sales managers hire and motivate high-performing sales teams, and lead them to generate leads, hit or exceed revenue forecasts, and meet customer needs.

What makes this program stand out?

UNCW’s B.S. Business Administration provides students with a well-rounded educational business journey. You will take classes covering each department within the school, and then select a concentration for your upper-level courses. This degree gives you the flexibility to enter the workforce with a diversified background. Select a concentration from the list of 15 to specialize for higher-level courses.

What does the program entail?

You will complete the required business courses that cover each department, and then complete the required courses and electives for your concentration.

Why is this program special?

This program provides the opportunity to gain skills across all areas of business. Upon graduation, you will be able to compete in the business world moving forward. You will have the opportunity to engage in the CEN mentorship program, global experiences and various clubs among the departments.
