Program Overview

Digital Technology Meets Arts and Humanities

Digital humanities is an interdisciplinary minor that prepares students to study and apply digital technology with a focus on the impact on diverse human experiences, cultures and cultural expression. This program can complement majors within the College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts, as well as majors in other disciplines and colleges.

In completing this minor, students will build skills in project management, teamwork, problem solving, communicating with community and industry stakeholders, and ethics of data and AI. They'll also learn how to creatively respond to rapidly evolving technological advances and their global impacts.

How do I minor in Digital Humanities?

All students are required to take the two core Digital Humanities courses (DHS 104 and DHS 367). DHS 367 requires the completion of DHS 104. Some courses in the electives list have pre-requisites, but many do not.
