Filmmaking, MFA
UNCW’s MFA in filmmaking is an immersive three-year terminal degree program. The comprehensive curriculum includes multi-modal (narrative, documentary, and experimental) workshops in cinematography, screenwriting, editing, sound design, producing and directing, as well as courses in cinema history, analysis and aesthetics.
Film Studies, M.A.
The Department of Film Studies offers a two-year Master of Arts degree in the history, theory and aesthetics of cinema. Our comprehensive curriculum provides advanced classes in film style and aesthetics, historiography, global cinema and film production.
Professional Writing Certificate
The Certificate in Professional Writing advances writing skills by providing foundational education in rhetoric, design, and editing, and offering courses in areas including business, science and multimedia writing, journalism and publishing.
