The Office of Engagement, Professional Learning, and Scholarship in the Watson College of Education supports students in becoming teachers and leaders in education. The office initiates and develops meaningful relationships with schools and community partners that share our commitment to a continuum of professional practices and support.
The office includes:

- Office of Professional Experiences
- The Betty Holden Stike Education Laboratory
- Isaac Bear Early College
- D.C. Virgo Preparatory Academy
- Curriculum Materials Center
- Community College Collaborative (UNCW/3C)
The primary purpose of the Office of Engagement, Professional Learning, and Scholarship is to intentionally engage in collaborative relationships that enhance teaching and learning in southeastern North Carolina.
Goals of the Office of Engagement, Professional Learning, and Scholarship:
- To connect diverse perspectives in advocacy for our schools, communities and university,
- To facilitate and sustain collaborative partnerships across our schools and communities,
- To inspire educators with purposeful, authentic and innovative professional development.
