THE 2025 YEP Program has reached its capacity for admission for Summer 2025, applications are no longer being accepted.

Have a passion that you think could someday be a business? Do you want to learn what it takes to be an entrepreneur? Do you want to have fun while doing both?
YEP offers a week long day sessions for high school students to learn the elements of starting a small business, you'll learn things such as:
- Knowing yourself and your strengths
- How to judge and attract talent
- How to let others know about your business
- Knowing the language of business
Using interactive team building activities you’ll learn to build a business plan for your ideas. Teams will work together to create a presentation and compete to see who said it best! We also tour the University and bring in UNCW’s staff to give an overview of resources that are available to you. YEP Participants will:
- Explore and leverage talents useful for team building and leadership development.
- Understand basic concepts of entrepreneurship and learn about resources in the local area and at UNCW.
- Hear inspiring talks from local experts.
- Engage with college students and UNCW faculty/staff.
- Dine at UNCW (included)

Location:
UNCW - Cameron School of Business
Eligible Ages:
High school students (ages 13-17)
Dates/Times:
Monday to Thursday, July 14 - July 17 from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Friday, July 18 from 8:00 – 11:00 AM
Lunch will be provided every day around noon, excluding Friday.
Cost/Application:
