Mr. Lydy’s design credits include the scenic and lighting design for the Public Broadcasting System series Dance Talks. His most recent works include off-broadway technical consultations, as well as Scenic Design and Technical Direction for The Diary of Anne Frank. Prior to his decision to become an academic professional, Mr. Lydy worked as a Scenic Designer, Lighting Designer and Technical Director for several nationally acclaimed Theatre and Dance Companies. Mr. Lydy has designed Scenery, Lighting, Sound or served as Production Manager/Technical Director for over 350 productions in his professional and academic career.

Mr. Max Lydy, Assistant Professor,
joined the UNCW faculty to teach courses in Production Design and Technology. He received a B.A. from Indiana University - Purdue University at Fort Wayne and M.F.A., Purdue University.
