Testing Services

UNCW offers a variety of testing services at locations on and off campus. Take a close look at the options below to make sure the choice you’re considering offers the tests and services you need.

Important Notice

Effective December 1, the University Testing Services (UTS) area will close. Select student-focused testing functions from UTS will be integrated into the Campus Testing Center, under the purview of the Disability Resource Center, which will be relocated from Seahawk Landing to DePaolo 1021 during the Spring semester. If you have questions about this transition, please email ctc@uncw.edu.

In-Person Make-Up Tests (Main Campus) If you're a UNCW student who is absent, sick or cannot attend an upcoming exam, coordinate with your instructor to schedule a make-up test through the Campus Testing Center. Schedule a Make-Up Test
Proctored Test/Exams (Main Campus) We proctor exams for college classes. We offer proctoring for both electronic & paper tests. We also proctor exams for students outside of the UNC system. Proctored Test/Exams
Accuplacer (Main Campus) Accuplacer is a series of tests that evaluate students' skills in reading, writing, & math to help college administrators place them in courses that match their skills. Accuplacer
Adobe Certified Professional (Main Campus) Adobe Certified Professional is an industry-recognized credential that effectively validates one's skills in Adobe Creative Cloud applications. Adobe Certified Professional
TEAS (Main Campus) Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) measures basic essential skills in the academic content area of reading, mathematics, science, English & language usage. The test is intended for use primarily with adult nursing program applicants. TEAS
CLEP (Main Campus) College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) test allows students to earn college credit for what they already know. With numerous CLEP tests offered, you can quickly satisfy general education requirements and prerequisites. CLEP
Prometric Exams (Main Campus) Prometric exams provide technology-enabled testing & assessment solutions to many licensing & certification organizations, academic institutions, & government agencies. Prometric offers many exams from 100's of testing companies, such as PRAXIS, GRE, CPA & more. Prometric Exams
