The Writing Lab is where students can ask quick questions as opposed to reviewing a full paper. For example, if you have a shorter assignment or need help with a few things, like citations, the Writing Lab may be the place for you. However, we recommend making an appointment if you want an in-depth overview of your work with a consultant.
Students do not schedule Lab time; simply drop in during open hours to work on your writing. The peer writing consultant in the lab will answer questions and provide suggestions on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Writing Lab is also a space where students can work on their writing. Students often write in the Writing Lab and ask questions as needed.
