Our Sustainability Action Plan outlines the strategic initiatives, goals, and actions that will guide our efforts over the next three years. It reflects our dedication to minimizing environmental impact, promoting social responsibility, and ensuring economic viability. Our approach is grounded in the belief that sustainability is not just an environmental imperative but also a key driver of innovation, resilience, and long-term success.

Expand Seahawk Trail System by three new trails by 2028

We aim to create a more resilient campus through sustainable development and conservative resource utilization.

Goals

Reduce consumption by 40% from 2009 levels by 2050
Increase kWh of alternative energy by 100% of 2024 levels by 2028

Capture 1 million gallons of stormwater per each 1-inch rain event by 2028

Reduce potable water usage by 10% from 2009 baseline by 2028

We work to deliver effective solutions to challenges that focus on future needs while providing for the needs of today.

Increase student, staff, and faculty funding opportunities by 50% of 2024 levels by 2026
Increase operating budget by 5% of FY24 levels by 2028

Increase recycling numbers by 5% of FY24 levels by 2028

Increase participation in reusable togo program by 10% of FY24 levels by 2028

We are transparent in our reporting and work diligently through our outreach to create a culture of sustainability that can be carried forward with students, staff, and faculty throughout their lives.
