Nutrition Fact labels help us to make quick and informed food decisions, but sometimes they can be tricky. With a format based on the TV show, “Are you Smarter than a Fifth Grader,” this program asks participants a series of questions to test their nutrition knowledge, while also teaching them how to understand and effectively use the Nutrition Facts labels.

Emotional well-being is essential to overall health. This program helps participants to achieve and sustain emotional-wellbeing goals by diving into the value and recognition of emotions, the power of meditation, and how to cope with the demands of school, personal life, and challenges that may arise day to day. Your Mind Matters.

Your biggest food and nutrition myths are about to get busted. When it comes to nutrition, it can be hard to determine myth from fact when there is so much information out there. This program addresses common nutrition myths and separates science from silliness.

Keeping up with school assignments and extracurricular commitments can be overwhelming without proper time management skills. Plan Like a Pro defines the different types of stress, addresses common stressors, and provides participants with stress reduction and time management techniques so that you are planning like a pro in no time.

Let’s talk about sex. Through a series of popular movie and TV show clips, Sex on the Big Screen facilitates discussion about common misconceptions related to sex and addresses the importance of communication, contraception, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), barrier methods, and the inaccuracies of abstinence-only sex education.

Are you ready to break free from the vicious cycle of dieting? Are you tired of feeling shame or guilt over food? Based on the book, Intuitive Eating, by Evelyn Tribole, MS, RDN and Elyse Resch, MS, RDN, this program addresses the inherent flaws of dieting, diet culture, and provides participants with the ten principles of Intuitive Eating. Learn to trust your gut and make peace with your food, once and for all.

Our bodies are incredibly smart, beautiful, and unique. From gynecological visits to emotional health, this program is designed to educate and help female participants to make informed decisions for their bodies.

Social media has set dangerously unrealistic standards of beauty and success, which in turn has been linked to higher levels of loneliness, envy, anxiety, depression, narcissism, and decreased social skills. This program encourages participants to develop self-compassion, accept our imperfections, and embrace all facets of ourselves. You are wonderful just how you are- unfiltered, unedited, imperfect- you are far more than just a "like".

Approximately 43% of UNCW students get less than the recommended 7-9 hours of sleep each night (ACHA-NCHA III, 2020). ZZZ’s get Degrees addresses the impact of sleep on personal well-being, the consequences of poor sleep hygiene on academic performance, strategies for healthy sleep habits, and provides participants with a variety of on-campus resources available for healthy sleep management.

College is a time of self-discovery and spending sunup to sundown at Wrightsville Beach. Also, for some, it might include drinking alcohol, or exploring a night out in downtown Wilmington. Drinking, are you Doing it Right? is a program that teaches participants how to find their sweet spot (think optimal buzz), ditch the hangover, and spend less time praying to the porcelain god.

If you are throwing a party, you want everyone to have a great experience, but you also have the added responsibility of making sure everyone is safe. Hosting Hacks provides participants with tips to minimize risks when hosting a party. Designed for Greek Life organizations.

Our award-winning program, Pick Your Poison, is an interactive presentation that highlights the dangers of mixing alcohol and drugs. Participants will learn the difference between stimulants and depressants, types of drug interactions, signs and symptoms of alcohol poisoning, and will receive the most current information regarding the Opioid crisis in the local area.

Sun exposure and alcohol are a dangerous cocktail. Drinking while in the sun can increase your risk of dehydration, heat stroke, drowning, or being in a boating accident. This program provides participants with safe drinking and sun safety tips. Don’t let an alcohol related accident ruin your fun in the sun!
