Frequently Asked Questions

The Rental & Resource Center is located in the Pat Leonard Student Recreation Center. For convenience, we have a drive-up entrance for pick-up & drop off, located on Price Drive next to the retention pond (Facing the Shore Dining Hall). Click here for a specific link for directions.

The only limitations of rentals concerning equipment amount caps are for watercraft. Each individual is able to reserve up to 2 “seats”: 2 single kayaks, 1 tandem kayak, 2 stand-up paddleboards, or 2 surfboards.

We provide access to books and maps as well as other resources, however we ask that they do not leave the Rental & Resource Center. We do have iPrint available in the center if you would like to make a copy to take with you.

Daily Rentals based on an approximate 24-hour period. Meaning that rentals must be returned up to the date by closing the following date. i.e., If rented for a day on Monday morning, it could be returned Monday afternoon or by closing on Tuesday.

After reserving your equipment, a confirmation email will be sent to your email, that includes the dates & time for pick up/drop off.  Payment will be taken at pick-up.

You can modify the order prior to pick up through your account, including removing/adding items and updating pick-up/drop-off dates & times.

We do not provide pick-up/drop-offs during non-open hours.

We ask the renter to be available for pick up to ensure the equipment is with the person who has reserved it and is responsible for it. Currently, the renter will also have to pay at pick up.

Our watercraft can be loaded onto most vehicles. We provide straps, and foam cushions for loading onto the vehicle. The renter is responsible for loading and attaching the watercraft to vehicles. It is suggested that the renter bring a helper, as staff is not permitted to physically assist. We would be happy to help provide verbal assistance/instructions.

Currently enrolled students, faculty, staff, and Campus Recreation Members are eligible to rent equipment from Seahawk Adventures. You may choose to rent equipment for the use of a guest through your account. All equipment would be the sole responsibility of the renter.

Gear should be clean when returned. Gear not returned clean may be subject to a cleaning fee.

  • Stoves & Cookware should be free of any food residue. Cookware should be washed prior to return, please do not get stoves wet.
  • Watercraft & accessories should be rinsed prior to returning, remember to check all storage compartments for belongings.
