Hawk's Harvest
Hawk’s Harvest student food pantry is 100% resourced by donations and small grants. Click HERE to make a financial donation to support the pantry, and if you are a UNCW employee we encourage you to consider doing a recurring payroll deduction. Please email hawksharvest@uncw.edu to inquire about our most needed items and to arrange a drop off day/time for food donations.
Did you know that ONE blood donation can help save the lives of up to THREE people? And that every two seconds someone in the US needs blood? If you want to donate blood, we can help!
We are the proud sponsor of monthly blood drives hosted by the American Red Cross. We typically host four drives during the fall semester and four drives during the spring. Upcoming drives and registration information can be found on our GivePulse page.
Donors must show ID at check-in and please be sure to eat a healthy meal and drink lots of water the day you donate!
Adopt-A-Family is our annual Thanksgiving meal donation program. We work in partnership with the Sister Isaac Center at the Basilica Shrine of St. Mary's, located in downtown Wilmington, which provides food, clothing, household items, and financial assistance to community members and families.
As a sponsor, you will buy groceries to provide a holiday meal for a family – we provide the shopping list – and the groceries will then need to delivered to us in a container or box with a lid (this helps to make transporting the meals easy) the Monday morning before Thanksgiving. Providing a meal for a family is a $60-80 commitment. Sign-ups typically open November 1 and the registration information can be found on our GivePulse page.
Angel Tree
Angel Tree is our annual holiday gift program that benefits children in foster care through the Boys and Girls Home of Lake Waccamaw. Children who come to the Boys and Girls Homes have suffered abuse or neglect and are considered susceptible to high-risk behaviors, so helping to support foster families is critical to their success.
As a sponsor, you will buy holiday gifts for one special child. We provide the wish list and ask that you spend $80-$100 shopping and then deliver the wrapped gifts to us, usually the week after Thanksgiving.
