The annual Chancellor’s High School Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is presented by UNCW in partnership with UNCW's Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE). The program offers an amazing year-long opportunity for high school thinkers, dreamers, and innovators to explore their inner entrepreneurial spirit and positions UNCW as the entrepreneurship hub for the region.
The competition challenges students to work with like-minded thinkers to develop creative and innovative solutions to solve real-world problems. This competition is an opportunity for students to develop skills that will contribute to their future success. Win or lose, this unique experience will be a valuable part of any resume or college application.
Also known as YEPex (Youth Entrepreneurship Program Experience), it features some of the most ambitious students for 50 high schools and an 18-county region that encompasses Bladen, Brunswick, Carteret, Columbus, Craven, Cumberland, Duplin, Hoke, Johnston, Jones, Lenoir, New Hanover, Onslow, Pamlico, Pender, Robeson, Scotland, and Wayne counties.
The Annual YEPex Youth Summit will not take place in 2024. The date for the next summit has not yet been determined. Stay tuned for additional information!
